Dear Friend and Neighbor:

My name is JUN POLICARPIO of Douglas Manor, Queens, New York. I am a Republican Candidate for Congress 2008 to represent the 5th Congressional District of New York.

I'm running so that constituents of the district would be faithfully served and represented in the United States House of Representatives by someone like me who understands and feels the needs and aspirations of the people.

I have lived with the people of the district for eighteen years struggling with day to day problems and coping with the uncertainties of life.

National Security which is the most pressing need of our country to have peace and prosperity is not being addressed by the incumbent liberal democrat Gary Ackerman who has been in office for twenty four years. He and the two Democratic presidential candidates would rather proffer retreat and surrender than a complete victory over the Islamic terrorists who attacked our country on September 11, 2001.

I and Republican Candidate for President John McCain believe that victory over our enemies is important to ensure United States leadership in the world and maintain our standing as the only superpower militarily and economically.

When our country is free of any fear from the threat of terrorism, economic prosperity will continue to flourish naturally. With the lingering fear of terrorism, certain government regulations are necessary to pre-empt any attack though such may adversely impact our economy. That is why we need to decimate the Islamic terrorists as soon as possible.

Another issue that makes me a better congressman than my opponent is his recent decision to vote against a Congressional Resolution, H.R. 847, about the importance of Christmas and the Christian Faith. When Congressman Ackerman voted in favor of another resolution recognizing the importance of RAMADAN, an Islamic Holiday, and DIWALI, the holiday of the Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains, he betrayed himself to be an Anti-Christian legislator.

I will respect the religious faith and practices of all the people of the district, most particularly the most numerous Christian constituents who comprised approximately 85% of the district's population. My opponent DOES NOT. The choice between JUN POLICARPIO AND GARY ACKERMAN is crystal clear that every voter in the 5th Congressional District should know: JUN POLICARPIO: He believes in the right of the unborn child in the mother's womb to live, to be free, and to pursue happiness, as embodied in our Constitution. Gary Ackerman: He will allow the pregnant mother or a doctor to kill the unborn child by choice. JUN POLICARPIO
