for Congress

NEW YORK -- With much fanfare and in a bright fund-raising party, New York
State Senator Frank Padavan, a known influential Republican leaders, gave his
ringing endorsement of Jun Policarpio as the Republican candidate for the 5th
Congressional District for next year’s elections.
Citing Policarpio’s high qualifications and compassionate political platform,
Padavan said Policarpio must unseat Democratic Congressman Gary Ackerman.
He said Policarpio’s glowing accomplishments as federal officer with the
U.S. Department of Homeland Security would help him triumph in the elections.
In the same event, Chu Hai Fong, prominent Flushing Chinese-American business
leader, reiterated his strong support for Jun Policarpio. Fong said Ackerman has
done nothing to help their community. In his message, Policarpio reiterated
his support for traditional family values of love of God, country and fellow
men. He vowed to propose laws that would strengthen the civil rights laws so
that no American will be discriminated. He cited America’s stands for freedom,
rights and justice. “Freedom-loving people from all over the world who obey
the law and democracy and could contribute to the economy should not be
discouraged to come to America,” Policarpio said. Policarpio envisions the
downtown area of NY as a tourist attraction by converting the busy commercial
center as an all-American town. If elected, he promised to entice tourists
coming from Manhattan to visit Downtown Flushing as a tourist haven. He
also advocates for stiffer penalties against criminals and prompt disposition of
criminal cases. |
