Jun Policarpio

When Gonzalo “Jun” Policarpio, retired USCIS Adjudications Officer, did not make it to Congress in 2008 after an unsuccessful run as a third party candidate (Conservative) against an incumbent for 36 years, he spent his retirement years doing general consulting work in his area of expertise: U.S. immigration and naturalization laws and regulations, employment discrimination, whistle blowing, and strategic intelligence.

His enterprise which he named GONZALO POLICARPIO CONSULTANTS, L.L.C. is now located at 38-08 Union Street #9A, Suite 105, Flushing, NY 11354.

Jun applies his 13 years of experience with then Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) under the U.S. Department of Justice and now became United States Citizenship and Immigration Services under the newly created U.S. Department of Homeland Security following the terrorist attack at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Jun also applies his collateral experience as an Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor of the USCIS Office of EEO based in Washington, D.C.

In the area of strategic intelligence, Jun applies his four years of experience as an intelligence analyst at the Division of Intelligence and Research of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs and intensive training as an intelligence officer at the Philippine Armed Forces Special Intelligence Training School.

Jun’s Master’s Degree in Public Administration obtained from New York University and Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Service obtained from the University of the Philippines supplemented by his experience as a journalist sharpened his skills and abilities in intelligence gathering particularly in the political, economic, social, military, and scientific aspects of selected countries.

In 2003, Jun filed a complaint of employment discrimination and reprisal against the U.S. Department of Justice under the Federal Whistle Blower Reprisal Act. The U.S. Attorney General settled the case and paid money.
